Extension Advisory Councils

Extension councils serve in an advisory role in planning, promoting, developing, implementing, evaluating and financing an Extension program designed to meet the needs, interests, and resources of the local communities served.

Extension Advisory councils are in place to help local educators understand needs, receive assistance in carrying out local policies/procedures and to provide council in having effective and efficient programming. They are a sounding board and support group.  They work hand in hand in helping local educators with their county extension work.  Extension councils serve in an advisory role in planning, promoting, developing, implementing, evaluating and financing an Extension program designed to meet the needs, interests, and resources of the local communities served.
